Mob Story(1989)

A Canadian mobster tries to leave his criminal past behind, only to find himself pulled back into a world of double-crosses, rivalries, and unexpected laughs. John Vernon brings his trademark authority to the role of the conflicted gangster, with Al Waxman and Margot Kidder adding grit and humor to the chaos. Mob Story blends crime drama, dark comedy, and musical flair into an offbeat gangster tale with a quirky, distinctly Canadian twist.

Embalming Love(2004)

A young woman tries to win the heart of the man she loves in this drama from Canadian director Darrin La Pointe. Determined to pursue her dream career as a funeral director, Patricia's also set on settling down with noncommittal musician Jake. With the help of her friend Amanda, Patricia uses Jake's party-hearty roommate, Ross, to make Jake jealous, but the scheme backfires.

Mr. Freedom(1969)

William Klein moved into more blatantly political territory with this hilarious, vicious Vietnam-era lampoon of imperialist American foreign policy. Mr. Freedom (John Abbey), a bellowing good-ol’-boy superhero decked out in copious football padding, jets to France to cut off a Commie invasion from Switzerland. A destructive, arrogant patriot in tight pants, Freedom joins forces with Marie Madeleine (a satirically sexy Delphine Seyrig) to combat lefty freethinkers, as well as the insidious evildoers Moujik Man and inflatable Red China Man, culminating in a star-spangled showdown of kitschy excess. Delightfully crass, Mr. Freedom is a trenchant, rib-tickling takedown of gaudy modern Americana.

The Puppet Monster Massacre(2010)

A group of teens are challenged to spend a night in the Wagner mansion on the edge of town. Little do they know the owner (Dr. Wolfgang Wagner) has concocted a monstrosity in the basement and plans to make the helpless teens the creature's first big meal. This is The Puppet Monster Massacre, a wild and raucous love letter to the monster films of the glorious 1980s!

The Phantom Father(2011)

American professor Robert Traum embarks on an adventurous and amusing journey through Bucovina to find Sami the projectionist, the only person alive that can tell him anything about his Romanian Jewish descent. His symbolic journey is filled with danger, the unknown and the surreal, but finally rewarded with a double love: on the one hand he finds romantic love, on the other the passion for old cinema, nomad, popular, naive and generous.

Bong of the Dead(2010)

When meteorites from outer space cause an all out zombie outbreak, the world is left desolate with only a few survivors. Tommy and Edwin are a pair of stoner buddies who keep themselves occupied by growing and smoking as much pot as humanly possible. One day they discover that by using zombie brains as fertilizer, they are able to grow a strain of super potent weed.
